Granby – STOP Short Term Rentals ORDER EXTENDED

Dear Short-Term Rental Operators,
The Grand County Public Health Director on March 31, 2020 issued the Standing Public Health Order Related to COVID-19 Pandemic and Necessary Restrictions on Short-Term Lodging in Grand County (“the Order”).The Order prohibits all Short-Term Lodging (STR) operations from operating and taking new reservations from April 2, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. until May 21st, 2020.
The Order was issued to limit the health impacts of COVID-19. In addition to imposing restrictions on Short-Term Rentals, as defined therein, within Grand County, Colorado, the Order incorporates all past, present, and future guidance, requirements, and restrictions issued by the Governor of Colorado and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The Order goes in to effect on April 2, 2020 at 5:00 p.m., and remains in effect until further notice from the Grand County Public Health Director. The Order is effective within the entirety of Grand County, including all towns within the County.
The Order was adopted pursuant to the legal authority set forth in sections 25-1-506, 25-1-508, and 25-1-509 of the Colorado Revised Statutes as well as other laws, rules, regulations, orders, and declarations. Failure to comply with the Order may result in fines or imprisonment.

Failure to comply with the order is subject to a fine up to $5,000, imprisonment in the county jail, and may lead to suspension or revocation of the property’s issued short-term rental permit.
