The 4th of July Neighborhood Parade and Pool reservations for the Holiday Weekend

As you probably know, the 4th of July parade in Granby is cancelled this year, but we want to safely adapt this holiday tradition with the first Grand Elk Neighborhood Parade! Here is how it works:

We will have 20 carts available for the Parade, and hope you will join us in letting the younger kids be the primary riders in the Parade – with a parent driving, of course!

Instead of decorating the carts this year we will minimize touch points by decorating ourselves!  Paint your face, wear red, white, and blue, bring a flag to wave, make a sign celebrating the nation’s birthday!

What can the rest of us do?  Additional parents and older kids can walk along in the parade, which will go from the Clubhouse up Wild Horse Drive and around Wild Horse Circle, and back to the Clubhouse.

Plus every Parade needs spectators!!  We encourage the community to line the Parade route and cheer on our young paraders!!

• Meet at the Clubhouse at 8:45 on Saturday all dressed up in your 4th of July gear
• The Parade will begin at 9 am sharp
• Please call the Golf Shop to reserve a cart – we ask that each family reserve only one cart in advance, and that larger families take turns riding and walking the parade route
• Please do not bring candy or other items to be passed out at the Parade

Pool Reservations for the 4th weekend

Because we anticipate a big crowd this weekend, we are setting up a reservation system for the pool like many Clubs and rec centers across the state. Hopefully, this will allow everyone a chance to enjoy some time at the pool in a safe manner.

From Friday, July 3rd to Sunday, July 6th:

Please call the Golf Shop to reserve a 2 hour time block per family, and please give us the number in your party

8 am to 10

10 to 12

12 to 2

2 to 4

4 to 6

6 to 8 pm

We have approximately 8 areas for families set up on the pool deck due to our mandated capacity restrictions.  Please select one of these areas as your “home base” during your stay at the Pool.

Please consider another time to bring large numbers of guests – we hope that this is a weekend for all the Members of the Grand Elk Family to enjoy some family fun.

A reminder that the Pool is a Family amenity – please help us maintain a Family-friendly atmosphere at all times.

When you time block expires, please leave the area promptly so that we may sanitize and clean the area for the next round of families.
